Hello! I’m Robin (They/them)
I am a queer, nonbinary, and autistic artist and storyteller based in the Pacific Northwest. I hold a BFA in Illustration from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. My interests include working on picture books, graphic novels, and attending artist tables at events.
I primarily use Holbein acrylic gouache on hot press watercolor paper, along with Procreate or Photoshop for digital touch-ups. My preferred style is minimal line art, focusing on texture and pleasing shapes rather than realism.
My work draws inspiration from my memories, emotional experiences, and identities, exploring themes such as Pacific Northwest wildlife, comfort, home, love, queerness, nostalgia, trauma, and mental health.
Growing up homeschooled in Vancouver, Washington, my experiences as a neurodivergent child continue to influence my work today. The stories I choose to tell are deeply personal, reflecting my struggles with anxiety and other mental health issues.
In my free time, I love experimenting with various mediums, ranging from zines and lino-block printing to crochet and needle felting. When I'm not creating art, you can find me cooking delicious vegetarian dishes, birdwatching, playing tabletop games, or taking care of my pets.
